Très Chic Mama Diaries: Pernille at 28 weeks

Hejsa!  Pernille here from poorogrich with another week’s diary entry and this week it is all about pants.  Because truthfully it is hard for me to fit into any…  So imagine my sheer delight when I stumbled upon these casual ankle-length oh so comfy with an elastic waistband non-see-through pants at H&M.  Yes, this very pregnant with twins lady actually did a happy dance and then gave myself a mental high-five because again they are non-maternity so I can wear them once I am not pregnant, and they were cheap enough to warrant me wearing them all the time without worrying about them too much.  Jubii!

So all week I have been playing around with them basically wanting to wear them every day because they just work.  And although I cringe at the polyester blend they are made of, the sheer ease of style makes me suck it all up.  And the belly that now holds babies that are more than 2 pounds, well, it fits nicely above that darling waistband.  And if there ever was a time to be allowed to wear elastic waistbands, now is it.

I decided to show just 3 ways to style these pants, casual, for work, and then for a date night, although I am not sure we will ever find the time for that.  Hey I can dream, right?  Now the pants I am wearing are in stores at the moment but not online, so online I found these similar pants.

I love the ease of this look and did wear it to school.  With a fitted tee, a basic black blazer and then my new go to leopard sandals, I looked like I tried but not too hard.

A little more dressed up for work in this one and with some of my favorites at play here; my sequin blazer from The Gap, similar style here, a white tank to downplay the dressed up blazer, and then a similar silver sandal.

And finally, the look I would love to wear on a date with my husband, although at this state in my pregnancy I doubt I could survive in heels.  A similar black sequin blazer, similar embroidered sleeveless top, and my favorite suede BCBG peep toe booties, similar here.  Easy and yet so spot on.

So there it is ladies; one pant three ways.  I hope you find that item you know you can keep styling without breaking the bank, until then stay funky and stay fierce.

Hej hej,

Pernille
