Hello! I’m Christina from Proper Hunt!  I am a 38-week pregnant home decor blogger who lives and plays in the Washington, DC area and I’m thrilled to be sharing my experiences with you as a contributor to the Très Chic Mama Diaries!

Like many of you, I am excited by art, design, and (especially) fashion. So, I bet you know how challenging it can be to stay fashionable when your sweet little bump outgrows your wardrobe and physical comfort becomes nearly impossible to come by. Being at the start of my 38th week, this has become true in the extreme for me lately. Let’s be honest, if I could go everywhere in a plush bathrobe nowadays, I would. But, this is the point in ones’ pregnancy when social interactions are frequent: trips to the mall to build out our little girl’s wardrobe (yes, we are having a girl and I am beyond thrilled!), going to pick out last minute items for the nursery, and best of all – baby showers! To me all of these occasions call for a dose of chicness.

Thankfully, I’ve discovered that a good boyfriend blazer paired with some chic bracelets can be your best friends.  They instantly create a look that comes off as effortlessly polished & sophisticated. I’ve always thought that bracelets really add that necessary level of chicness to an outfit.  They cover up bare arms that cry out for some kind of embellishment, and when you’re wearing a blazer with its sleeves rolled up, you know you’ve got to add something to those bare wrists of yours to make it look less awkward.  Here are a few of my own favorite bracelets (including my birthday gift from my hubby this year), and my favorite blazer.

 Just last weekend, I attended a baby shower and wore my boyfriend blazer with a maxi dress. I found that wearing the blazer amped up the sophistication level of my outfit. Maxi dress is from TJMaxx, but here is a similar one from Gap.
