maternity street style: from navajo to ponchos

Sydney from The Daybook experimented with the Navajo trend by wearing a fitted tribal patterned knit with bright red skinnies and lace-up wedge booties. The glasses added a quirky touch. If you’re into the geek chic look (à la Jenna Lyons) this is a fun one to recreate!

We were instantly drawn to Kelly Hick’s boho chic look. She opted for a billowy floral blouse left open to reveal a neutral-toned tank and cinched it under the bust with a thin braided belt.  She finished the look with Love for Heidi Klum slim jeans and sexy high heeled H&M booties.

We quickly identified this piece for its signature ruching and strategic draping- it’s the Isabella Oliver ruched midi dress a total must-have.  This beautiful mama-to-be epitomizes how extremely flattering it can be to wear form-fitting rather than oversized garments.

Charlotte from The Fashion Guitar hits it right out of the park in a relaxed yet perfectly put together look! We love her H&M gold knit, Barbour chevron scarf, impossibly cooler moto jacket, H&M beanie and All Saints booties but it’s her H&M leather leggins that instantly caught our eye for their edgy but feminine touch.

Nathalie Bergh looks downtown cool by layering two faux-fur pieces including a decadent cognac fur vest.

Teal from Expecting Chic is ultra stylish in her H&M poncho, Forever 21 jeggins and Aldo stacked heeled boots. A poncho is a chic (pregnant) woman’s best friend- it will be your loyal companion before, during and way after birth when you’re nursing!

Yet another proof that curve-hugging garments work wonders on the pregnant silhouette. Jess from What Would Karl Do stood pretty in an Asos maternity black maxi dress and added understated extras such as Forever 21 nude sandals and silver layered necklaces from Samantha Wills.
